Community sports programs, like those here at Cornerstone, yield long-term benefits for both individuals and the communities they live in.

These programs can help build better physical and mental health, improved social skills and connection, better academic performance and development of important life skills, such as teamwork, communication and perseverance for those who participate. For communities, they can lead to stronger social cohesion, reduced youth crime rates, higher civic engagement and an increased sense of belonging.

Did you know that professional athletes like Lebron James and Drew Brees have credited community sports programs as contributing factors to their success? Cornerstone has its own alumni who feel the same; see what Mason Appleton (with the Detroit Red Wings), Max McCormick (with the Seattle Kraken) and Makayla Spejcher (with Concordia Hockey) have to say. 

Why the need for a new Arena?

Cornerstone has experienced a 25% increase in demand for its programs since the end of the pandemic, with daily activity between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. during peak season. A fourth sheet of ice will enable Cornerstone to accommodate increased demand with hours that work for area kids and families.

With an additional 65,000 square feet and seating for 3,000 the new sheet of ice will also support the economic health of the region through increased tourism dollars. The growth enables Cornerstone to host larger, national tournaments and competitions that draw more teams than they can currently accommodate. Each national tournament has an estimated economic impact of $5 million for the Greater Green Bay area when considering hotel stays and food, beverage, entertainment and

retail purchases. That $5 million multiplies with each additional event held at Cornerstone.
