Mission Statement
What is Cornerstone Community Center and what is our mission?
In the late 1990s a group of figure skating and hockey parents were sitting in the stands of an old ice rink under a leaking roof. That evening, they came to an agreement that the area needed a new community ice center, and they formed a non-profit, Cornerstone Community Center, Inc.
After fundraising for a new ice rink, Cornerstone Community Center (Cornerstone) was built in 2000 to host on-ice community sports programs for youth and adults with two sheets of ice. In 2007, Cornerstone added an Olympic-sized ice rink at the Resch Olympic Pavilion.
Today, our facilities support training and game times for youth, high school, college and adult hockey programs, a speed skating club, and a figure skating club in addition to hosting ice shows, competitions, tournaments and community open skate times.
Our mission, then and now, is to provide affordable and accessible recreation for residents throughout Northeastern Wisconsin.
