Speedskating is truly a sport for all ages and ability levels. Team Cornerstone Speedskating is here for all interested skaters.
Speedskating sessions will be held in the Resch Olympic Pavilion also known as Rink 3.
If you are new to the sport, we offer a Family Speedskate Class on Sunday evenings from 6:15PM to 7:35PM. This session will focus on the fundamental techniques as well as incorporating those skills into races and skill-building games.
To further improve your speedskating skills, we also have a Thursday night practice time from 7:15PM to 8:20PM. This practice is ideal for any skaters who wish to add another night of practice to their training plan.
For those who are more serious about the sport, we have a Friday night practice from 5:30PM to 6:50PM that involves higher speed drills and racing techniques. For safety reasons Friday night skaters must at least Pony Level OR at least 9 years old, with a 500m time of 1:04:00 or less, and the approval of the session coach.
